1 week anniversary!

Happy 1 week anniversary to my sweet boy! Mom-mom (great gma) came over to visit you for the first time and we got to see a "milestone". Your eyes stayed open for over an hour! We also introduced you to a sensory gift from Auntie Tori for your wake hours!!! I think I loved it more than you did because I can't stand leaving you to stare into space...I want you to experience the world!

Mama wouldn't change a thing about you. God knew what he was doing when he gave me you. πŸ’™

I just CANT with him πŸ˜…πŸ˜‡
Noah's first day outside! Checking out the backyard where he'll be catching lizards and making mud pies like mommy did!

My last night with you before your 1 week mark

Tomorrow you officially turn one whole week old. 7 days of my heart living OUTSIDE of my body. No amount of dirty diapers or fussy nights will ever change that...
This means I have 7 more weeks of being a mama to a newborn. Ugh baby! Slow down!!

Leaving the hospital!

After 4 days of induction and 4 more days in the hospital suite we were finally cleared to go home! Good thing too because mama was going crazyyyyy! You loved the car seat. Fell right to sleep! I was so emotional. It felt like a huge step...and it was!

Noah's First Peace Sign

Today Noah surprised us with the sweetest little pose β€” his very first β€œpeace sign.” He was completely relaxed and fast asleep, but his tiny fingers formed the cutest gesture. It felt like his own little way of saying he’s happy, calm, and content in this new world.

First night skin to skin ✨️

I'll never forget this night. Here I was, suddenly a new mommy, and my baby boy was showing signs of fear and anxiety. The night nurse was wonderful and explained the importance of 'Skin to skin' contact. Here you are Noah. Fresh from the womb... Only about 10 hours out of the oven! And the sound of my heart beat, warmth of my body and scent of my skin were able to console you. Once you were curled up into my chest you were immediately put to ease. In mere seconds you went from being in distress to an instant happy camper! The way you looked up at me... πŸ₯Ή So innocent and yet so wise beyond your years. Your way of telling me that, Yes! You reconized me! That was the moment I fell in love with you. It was also the moment I officially felt like a mother. Finally? This was the exact moment I knew I can do this.
